The selection of images and text for this book were compiled by Fernando La Rosa in 2017, the final year of his life. Fernando La Rosa founded Secuencia Foto-Galería in the 1970's in the San Isidro area of Lima, Perú. It was the first photography school and gallery in Latin America dedicated to photography. He studied with Minor White and exhibited the work of Aaron Siskind and Harry Callahan at Secuencia. He curated, for Secuencia, the first solo exhibition in Lima of the Peruvian photographer, Martin Chambi. Secuencia Foto-Galería only existed for a few years, but it had a powerful impact on the development of photography as a primary art form in Perú.
