Art and Life > 1983-1988 Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi

In late 1983, still living in NYC and teaching at Parsons School of Design, Fernando was offered the opportunity to establish and act as Director of the new photography program at Parsons in the Dominican Republic at Altos de Chavon. It was at Altos de Chavon that he met his future wife and artist Frances who was there as an artist-in-residence. After their marriage they moved to Atlanta, with photography excursions to Alabama (Frances' home state), neighboring Mississippi, and Jamaica.
